Creative placemaking is a community development approach rooted in the strategic use of art and culture to shape the social, physical, and economic character of a place. This course focuses on immersive storytelling, themed environments, and guest experience design, taking an approach commonly seen in Central Florida. Through this course and my experience in Wayfinding and Environmental Graphics, I hope to learn how to better create spaces and design with people at the center and focus of the process.
Many of these projects have a mix of guided and intentional learning curated and fostered by the Professor, while also incorporating my own knowledge, stories, love, and curiosity of my home state of Florida.
